Playing Golf - Beginner

It was all started back in 2019 when I joined some other colleagues to have dinner with the big bosses, the keyword golf came up in our conversation. Turned out the big bosses like to play golf. Not long after, one of my senior planned a golf event for beginners. Although I only had two practices before playing my first round, I found myself enjoying it. Of course I wasn't good at all but playing in a wide open space was refreshing. Unfortunately, none of my friends play golf so I haven't been able to play as much as I wish. Plus, I think it is widely known that it is not cheap. So I only play whenever there is golf event for beginners in my company. But, I finally bought my own club set - half set for beginner so I can be more motivated to go practicing at driving range.

The top of backswing position in September 2020 (top) and in June 2021 (bottom) are quite different!

Long before I tried playing, I often watched golf matches in TV but I didn't understand the rules and all. Although I haven't been able to improve my skill as I cannot play more frequent, now I could understand when I watch golf match, at least the basic things like birdie or par, that the players actually use different club at different situations! LOL. I really didn't know that player could have as many as 14 clubs for one round.

Anyway, this might not be a hobby I can do frequently, but I'd be happy to go whenever there is a chance!

My Snowboard Trip 2012

Hey people! I just got back from Nagano area last night. What did i do there btw? Well, let me tell you then. hehe. I was snowboarding there for one and a half days. At the first time i was not so excited to go, especially when i found out that the weather wasn't great either. It was snowing heavily, which i said it felt like a snow storm. So, i was not really enjoying for the first half of the first day there. I even intended to just stay in the room for the rest of the day. But suddenly the sky got clear and i could see the sun far far away. Then i decided to have more rounds before the day got darken.
Can you guess what? By the time i was ready to slide again, there the snow started to fall heavily again. But i thought 'ah, never mind. i've already at the starting line anyway.' So, yes i started to try enjoying the snowboard. Then, one of my senior came to me and Dhilla and asked us if we would like to learn the new technique. Since i just knew how to do the most basic technique and i started to get bored with that, so why not?!
We went to higher starting line, cuz my senior thought that there were fewer people there. So it might be better to practice there. But, it was sooooo foggy that i could barely see what's in front of me. Luckily we managed to practice safely. And of course this practice session was full with felling down, yelling in pain, etc. But i think i enjoyed it much more than before. I was so tempted to be able to master the skill/technique. And yes, after a hard work, me and Dhilla could finally do that! Sometimes we still fell down when we tried to do the technique though. hehe. At least we got better :p
From what i experienced there, i knew that in life we need to do or try something new sometimes instead of just keep on doing the routines. By doing something new, we could have more spirits, motivation, and we would enjoy our lives better.
Trying something new, or learning something new doesn't mean that you're changing into somebody else. But it means you yourself are getting more abilities, knowledges, etc. Aren't you all agree with me?
I didn't take many photos in Nagano, but as soon as Dhilla shares photos from her camera, maybe i'll share some here too. And we also recorded few videos :)
So, see you when i see you!

Some Clips From Nagano :)

So, i finally did combine some clips taken by Mas Asad (Abu) during the trip to Mandarao, Nagano when we went snowboarding. This video isn't to show you how great we were, but just to share how much fun we had there. And you could also see some silly scenes when some of us fell down. And for us, it just makes us laughing each time we see it and makes us wanna go again so soon (but  i guess not until next year :p).
So, enjoy..

The End of World Cup Euphoria (for me ;p)

Actually i'm not really a kind of girl who like to stay along 90 minutes to watch a football match. I almost never watch those leagues held in some countries, or champion league. But, special interest always comes during the fifa world cup. I began to like watching world cup's matches since the world cup 2002. And also, since that time, i've always been a supporter for germany.
The euphoria of this world cup 2010 didn't come from the beginning of this world cup. Maybe because i don't have a TV (ohh poor me!), i have actually if the TV that is attached to my cellphone is counted as one. So during this world cup 2010, i only watched 2 full-matches and 1 other match only on the last half of the match. Those matches were when germany played. First, when germany defeated england for 4-1. Second, when germany won over argentine for 4-0. And last, when germany finally lost againts spain for 0-1 and ended their journey on world cup 2010. I admit that german's play in the last match wasn't as good as the 2 matches before. Just like what my friend said, that spain dominated the game. Anyway, otsukaree germany!
What's next? The final between holland and spain. But i actually have no interest to watch that match. Yeah, at least for me, this euphoria of world cup 2010 is over here. Sayonara world cup!

Snowboard (January 3-6)

Today is the last day of my winter holiday. I don't know should i be sad, lazy or happy. In many ways i can say that i'm gonna be happy, but to tell you the truth, i can't deny that i feel a bit lazy too. ihihi. Why i'll be happy? It's already January which means final exam is coming soon. I'm not happy because i'm gonna have the final exam, but i'll have another holiday after it (ahahaha).
Anyway, i'm gonna let you to look back at my past few days during my winter holiday.
On January 3rd, me and my friends (mas asad, mba rani, rama, mamet, and kiki) started our holiday trip to Nagano. We went there by night bus from Shinjuku. I was so nervous yet excited because i'm gonna see snow and play snowboard.
When we arrived at Mandarao, Nagano, it was around 5 in the morning. Finally i saw the snow. hehe. Yeah actually i should have a little memory of snow from my childhood, but unfortunately i couldn't remember it. Having a short break then rent some items for playing snowboard. I really hate the fact that there's no snowboard clothes which fitted on me. It was too big. And so was the gloves. But luckily i could change the gloves with kid's size. hehe.
First Day (January 4th)
Sunny day. I didn't feel cold at all even there is snow. Took a half day snowboard school to get some basic skills. But to tell you the truth, it was so hard during the school, i couldn't even stand up (and even to walk on the snow was extremely hard for me). Maybe i was still too nervous and afraid of falling. But after the school, i practiced together with mba rani and mamet and fortunately getting better. Of course, i had some 'accidents'. hehe. But it was okay. Playing full day until 4 pm. Got too tired and slept too soon (i slept around 8 while others were still hanging up to 10)
Second Day (January 5th)
Cloudy day in the beginning. Playing again! Tried to speed up. But because of that, i had some extreme accidents. I fell with superman style several times and trust me it's hurt the most. Especially once when my face hit the ground (yeah there's snow on the ground) first, then the board hit my head a little, oh yeah that was hurt so much. Like i was keeping silent did nothing just sit and tried to calm down my self before continuing to the finish line where i could find the lift to get back to the start line. And that day, i couldn't force myself to play a whole day because i was so dizzy and feeling sick of my whole body. Anyway that day turned to be snowing, dark, i guessed i made a right decision to finish earlier.
Third/Last Day (January 6th)
Snowing Day. At the first time, i was sooo lazy to play because the weather was not really good. It's snowing and also dark because of the thick fog. But then i thought it's gonna be my last day, so i decided to play. But i just kept on the low speed when sliding the board cuz i already had enough 'accident' yesterday and didn't wanna get some more or maybe i'm gonna get worse injury. hehe. Tried to practice with the next level of turn over skill but didn't work out. Okay, maybe next year i can make it. So sad i should leave the snowy place and get back to the hectic city tokyo.
Yeah, i think that's a brief story of my experience during my winter holiday. Wish i could go there again next year.
Our Team

*ps. sorry for the quality lack of the photos, since none of use brought a camera when we're playing, so we could only use the cellphone's camera.
